Samantha and Daniel were married at the Hermann-Grima House in New Orleans, La. on October 27. Samantha looked radiant in a strapless drop waist gown with a ruffled skirt. Her hair was down in soft waves and she carried a gold metallic brooch bouquet. The groom looked handsome in a classic black tuxedo. “We were inspired for a destination wedding in New Orleans during a trip there,” Samantha explained. Samantha and Daniel tied the knot at the historic house in the french quarter, in front of just 50 guests. Following the ceremony, friends and family participated in a local tradition known as a second line parade. The march is a celebration of the bride and groom and includes a jazz band! Guests waved screen printed handkerchiefs, which were a gift from the newlyweds to their guests. “October is a beautiful time to visit New Orleans,” Samantha said. “Our wedding day was the classic example of that.” A reception followed in the courtyard of the historic home. Guests sat at long banquet tables which boasted gold and blue place settings and wine bottle table numbers. Dinner consisted of traditional Louisiana fare and featured shrimp and grits, beef short ribs, and redfish. The couple shared their first dance together and enjoyed a single-tier white cake adorned with gold dots and a personalized topper. Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were also served. The couple was extremely pleased with their whole celebration. “We knew we wouldn’t want to hold our wedding anywhere else,” Samantha said. See the full board here.
